CFC PHNOM PENH HOLDS MARRIAGE ENRICHMENT RETREAT
The Couples for Christ Community in Phnom Penh, Cambodia held a Marriage Enrichment Retreat at House#6z18, Mao Tse Tung Blvd.m Phnom Penh on November 13-14, 2009.
The retreat was spearheaded by CFC Phnom Penh coordinator Bro. Arnold Jose. The two-day MER 1 and MER 2 weekend activity was for couples to discover and explore more personally the meaning of marriage vocation within the context of the plan and work of God. It provided the couples time to listen to Christian talks for discussion, and most importantly, prayer and medidation. The retreat presented a series of seven talks from the MER speakers; Sps. George and Cynthia Campos, CFC Country Coordinator in Thailand, Bro. Clarke Nebrao of the International Mission Council, Bro. Bong Arjonillo, Regional Director, Great Mekong Area, and Sps. Cesar and Sylvia Cruz, Country Coordinators in Vietnam. The talks not only covered Biblical teachings but also practical guidelines in the valuable areas of Christian marriage and family life. The couples discussed these with one another after each talk and prayed for the particular areas of their marriage and family life they need to work on and strengthen. In addition to the talks, a fellowship of wholesome fun and entertainment was provided for the couples who actively participated. The climax of the weekend retreat was the Holy Mass celebration in the afternoon of Saturday. Afterwhich, a dinner and a short fellowhip was held at the retreat house. The Singles for Christ did a great job of assisting the affair with their whole-hearted service for the MER activity. It was a success all the way.
