Fullness In Christ Weekend
On Sunday, the 30th of May 2010, Fullness in Christ weekend was echoed to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. It marked another significant event for CFC-VN Expat community. Elders from Manila consisting of Bro Nonoy & Sis Marivie Dalman, Bro Tony & Sis Zeny Gimenez and Bro Tito & Sis Lily Domingo with their children Noelle and Vic on Saturday, the 29th of May excitedly arrived and full of vigour. They were extremely inspiring and powerfully motivated by the Holy Spirit. And what made this weekend memorable was the surprise arrival of Sister Mary Niere (OCD) the second time around. She rendered Talk 2, her first time to give talk outside her ‘Contemplative’ topics.
The Fullness in Christ weekend, which was originally planned to be simple, came out to be magnificent. The last minute changes didn’t obstruct the preparations but rather made the entire weekend full of delight and success. It greatly affirmed the splendour of our God. Despite the hot weather and the warm temperature at the venue, all participants devotedly listened to all talks and were stirred to move further to their faith.
All 5 talks, though delivered for a limited time, were conveyed faithfully and inspiringly. Many were enlightened. Many were affirmed. And many had realisations far more than what they had expected. The realisation of God’s call was boisterously echoing to everyone’s ear. That the seed of faith Christ has implanted in everyone’s hearts should be nourished and nurtured through prayers. Through constant prayer we shall all remain in Christ’s love and presence. And when we are rooted in prayer then we will be strong, unwavering and successful in our mission. Our service to our family and to the community will then be superb. This Journey of Faith may be long, challenging and at times difficult. There would be time for pruning, time for letting go which would hurt us, make us sad or in pain. But above all these there would be a time for rebirth and a time for growth. As much as we are committed to our covenant we must also be open to acceptance, have the willingness to share and act on the mission and to evangelise God’s works. All these will lead us to the FULLNESS OF CHRIST. The whole event was so overpowering that its description is beyond comprehension.
On behalf of the whole CFC-VN we would like to thank all those, who untiringly done their best for the success of the FULLNESS IN CHRIST Weekend;
