The First Marian Night – Back to back with The First Women’s Conference “GO FOR GOLD”
On Thursday, 4th November 2010, two active and vivacious members of HOLD International Council, Sister Lynda Geraldez, HOLD Foreign Mission Coordinator and Sister Bel Liboro, HOLD Country Coordinator to Vietnam, arrived in Vietnam. Immediately after they had settled, they started preparing for the activities that they would be conducting.
On Friday, 5th of November, they delivered the Marian Teachings for the whole CFC-Vietnam community. They shared with us the qualities of our Blessed Mother Mary and her appeal for the conversion of mankind. They also explained the importance of the Holy Rosary and how useful it is as a tool for Catholics in seeking the help of our Blessed Mother to intercede for us with our Heavenly Father and our Lord Jesus Christ. And so we ended the night praying the Holy Rosary with the male members leading the prayer. Prayer petitions were also read during each mystery.
The very next day after the successful Marian Night, I met with these two titas to prepare for the very first Women’s Conference, which was scheduled on Sunday, the 7th of November 2010 at the St. Paul’s Chapel, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. It was an awesome whole Sunday of discovery. The theme “GO FOR GOLD” aptly entailed discovering how the women of this modern society runs the race and be able to win the heavenly prize – the gold, which is salvation. The conference culminated with a wedding-like ceremony, with the women as the bride and Jesus Christ as the groom, and followed with a powerful praisefest. So all the women left and went home more than equipped and empowered with so much inspirations from the two well inspirational speakers.
All praises and thank to our Heavenly Father for His never ending love and blessings to our lives. He always sends us people who would not only share us their knowledge and their wisdom, but most especially their love and support to all members of CFC-Vietnam. We also thank our Blessed Mother for her intercession upon us. Truly CFC-Vietnam is a well blessed community.
Attendances on both activities were overwhelming. It was only the beginning… more is about to come.
For God be praised.
